Gran Turismo Polonia - 5th edition

Traditionally around the end of June over 80 top cars arrived in Poznan, Poland for the 5th edition of Gran Turismo Polonia. It was a special anniversary as for the first time the event had its opening out in the streets and was evaluable to public viewers. Before the regular 3 days on the racetrack the cars rolled in to the city centre for some street racing. The follow up Moto Show found plenty of enthusiasts. Google search for ‘Gran Turismo Polonia’ came up with over 3.000.000 results bringing the media from allover the world including BBC’s Top Gear. In the year 2009 Poznan was visited by cars such as Ferrari California, Ferrari 599 GTB, Ferrari 430 Spider, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Ferrari 430, Lamborghini Superleggera, Lamborghini LP640, Lamborghini LP560, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Diablo, Porsche Carrera GT, Porsche Boxster S, Porsche 997 GT2, Porsche 997 Turbo, Porsche 997 S, Porsche 997 GT3 RS, Porsche 997 GT3, Porsche 996 Turbo Ruf, Porsche 996 GT3 RS, Porsche 996 GT3, Porsche 996 GT2, Porsche 993 RS, Dodge Viper SRT-10, Dodge Viper GTS, Dodge Viper, Corvette C6 and BMW M3 as well as two classics - AC Cobra& Ford GT40.
The special guest of this edition was Franz Konrad – the owner of Konrad Motorsport team – the winner of Mobil 1 Porsche Super Cup 2008, a competition that takes place just before the start of F1 races.
